C & O Canal National Historic Park

The Chesapeake and Ohio Canal (C and O Canal) is a national memorable stop that goes back to the eighteenth and nineteenth hundreds of years. The 184.5-mile towpath stretches out from Georgetown in Washington, DC to Cumberland, Maryland. Strolling or bicycling along the towpath, you can see unique structures including locks, lockhouses, and water systems.
