Museum of Genocide Victims

Though certainly not a happy or fun visit, the Museum of Genocide Victims (also called the KGB Museum) is an excellent museum that provides visitors with a look into Lithuania’s recent history.

Gates of Dawn

The only remaining city gate from the former city wall that surrounded Vilnius, the Gates of Dawn is both historically relevant for Lithuania and important to Christianity.

Hill of Three Crosses

The Hill of Three Crosses is another two fold destination, this time of both historic and national importance.

Gediminas’ Castle

The symbol of Vilnius, Gediminas’ Castle is easily reached from Vilnius’ old town.

Uzupis

Formerly one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Vilnius, home to prostitutes and drug addicts, Uzupis was revitalized in the 1990s when bohemians and artists moved in.
